Caravan culture is starting to grow in India, with the recent boost many caravan rentals have also set their foot in the market of tourism. Now you can easily hire a caravan and plan your first caravan trip.
The hard part is choosing places where to take your caravan and safely park it. So I have made a list of the places you can take your caravan and ask in the campsites to let you park your caravan for a nominal fee.
Gokarna is becoming the new Goa. With the crowd gathering at Goa, people seeking peace and solitude are going there.
You can easily find campsites by the beach. Other things to do are beach trek, caving in yana caves, scuba diving at Murudeswara.
Sakleshpur is one of the famous campsites just 4 to 6 hours from Bangalore.
You can go here and indulge in many activities provided at the campsites like trekking, outdoor games, etc.
Dwaki is just 180 km from Guwahati. It is one of the cleanest rivers of India. The water is completely transparent.
Many camps are set up near the river itself. You can do many water sports like Kayaking, rappelling cliff jumping etc.
4. Sapoi tea plantations, Assam
You can call up and ask them to park your caravan in the beautiful tea plantations. They also provide private rooms.
If you want a peaceful vacation on a farm this is your place. They provide tours of the estate. The estate was built in around 1914. The kanoi family that lives here is very kind and welcoming.
Mysore is just 150 km from Bangalore. If you are planning your trip during Dusshera then you should definitely go here.
You can easily find campsites to let you park your caravan. Other things to do in Mysore are Mysore Palace, Mysore Zoo, Brindavan Gardens.
7. Kohima, Nagaland
Nagaland is one of the offbeat, unexplored destinations of India. If you are looking for an adventure you should definitely go here.
Many campsites are available here. You can also go for trekking to Dzuko valley.
Hampi is the historical hub of south India and also the marijuana hub too. If you and your partner love getting high or are just history nerds, definitely go here you will not be disappointed.
You can find many campsites and homestay to park your caravan. Other things to do in Hampi are temple sightseeing, climb up to the Matanga hill and bathe an elephant.
