Travel movies, List of Bollywood Adventure Movies, Best Travel Movies of Bollywood

Bollywood had always been focussed on family drama, romance or social causes but when travel is added to Bollywood movies it becomes a masaledar(spicy) movie, the complete package. Travel is a very therapeutic process, it lets you heal, love and live. You understand the importance of protecting nature and also enjoying it. Movies are a great way to avoid the harsh realities of life and what better than a movie showing an epic road trip or romance on wheels.

So I have made a list of all the top travel movies of Bollywood that you should definitely watch.

Travel Movies of Bollywood
Dil Chahta Hai

The all-time favorite of every Bollywood fan, Dil Chahta Hai is popular not just during the time it was released but also now after 15 years. College students still plan to go Goa with their friends. I think because of this movie Goa became the ideal vacation spot for the young generation and it goes on till today. The blue beaches and golden sands are a bonus.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Who doesn’t love Hrithik Roshan and moreover a road trip through Spain? The movie takes three friends across Spain where they find love, discover themselves and learned to live in the moment. The movie shows the famous and super fun Tomatina festival, deep-sea diving, amazing road trips, and load more.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

Well, who doesn’t love Bunny!!! A dashing young man dreaming to travel the world with his backpack and scrapbook is hot as hell. This movie is one of my personal favorites not just because of the travel but the emotions attached to it, how he couldn’t attend his father’s funeral, lost touch with his friends or had to let go of love. From snow-capped mountains of Manali, Gulmarg to the beautiful Rajasthan the movie showed the major parts of India.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge

This movie is where the travel love story started in Bollywood. Raj meets his Simran on his Euro trip. They fell in love in mesmerizing Europe, then started the journey of making their parents agree for their love in the beautiful mustard fields of Punjab and finally their forever. The epic pose of Shah Rukh in the mustard field is where the craze of spreading hands and taking pictures in the mountains started.

As the name suggests, the movie s quite famous among the girls. After her fiancé left her, the protagonist didn’t let her honeymoon tickets go to waste, she went on a solo trip to Paris and Amsterdam. There she learned an important lesson of life that we also learned from her, we don’t need a partner to be happy, we are enough. The movie is a true definition of self-love.

Jab We Met

The film inspires us to go on train journeys to various places in India and try out new things. Starting from Mumbai, with some interesting stops at Ratlam, Kota, Bhatinda, Manali, and Simla the magnificence of India is shown very well. What more it is the last movie of Kareena and Sahid together?

A father-daughter duo travels with a taxi company owner from Delhi to Kolkata in this road trip movie. Who wouldn’t want to go on a trip with their father!!! Maybe you can make your father watch this movie with you and plan a trip.

The movie took us to amazing places and we just didn’t want it to end. We travel through the plains of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab. It captures the remote Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh and drives over to the Aru Valley and Chandanwari near Pahalgam. The storyline is also a classic Bollywood Chaska, a to be bride is kidnapped by goons and she doesn’t even want to go back.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

This movie shows both India and Pakistan closely. We have always only heard about the beauty of Pakistan but now through this movie, we got to see it. When Bajrangi (Salman Khan) starts his journey from Delhi to drop Munni at her village in Pakistan, the question was how he will do it. This movie reflects the lush green side and snow-capped mountains of Kashmir and Pakistan.

The beautiful place called Corsica came to light through this movie. The place looked so dreamy like it was a postcard. The local flavor was just enough to make Corsica your dream destination.

I hope you enjoy watching movies on the above list. If you want me to add some movies that inspire you to travel do let me know in the comment section.
