Manikaran Sahib is a famous pilgrimage destination of Himachal Pradesh for both Sikhs and Hindus. It is located in Manikaran right near the roaring Pravati River. Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara has many legends and mysteries in itself. Even in cold freezing winters the hot springs flow at its might. This small town attracts tourist throughout the year. Manikaran is around 80 km from Manali and the route from Manikaran to Manali is the most scenic one. The Pravati River is flowing on one side and the beautiful hills on the other. How to Reach
The nearest airport is in Bhuntar which is around 35 km from Manikaran. Regular buses ply on the route. Kullu is around 45 km and one can easily get many buses from the Kullu bus stand.
Buses are available up to Bhuntar from all major cities like Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Delhi, etc.
Best time to visit Manikaran Sahib
The weather of Manikaran is mostly around 10 degrees throughout the year. The winters are harsh and cold. So the best time to visit is in summers from April to June.
It is open 24 hours and there is no entry fee.

Accommodations at Gurudwara
Free accommodation is provided at the Gurudwara. There are around 300 rooms and 35 common halls. Separate bathroom from men and women are also present. Free food is provided at the Langar.
Itinerary for Manikaran
For Gurudwara, you should keep complete one day. Explore in the Gurudwara, eat at the Langar, bath in the hot springs and wash away all your sins.
Take a dip in the Kulant Pith and go to the Lord Ramachandra Temple. Sit in the main prayer hall and introspect your life. Visit the hot cave and be amazed by the natural sauna. Also, visit the Naina Bhagwati temple.

Pointers for your trip
- Women should make sure to cover their head with dupatta at all times inside the Gurudwara and men should also cover their head with handkerchiefs tied on their head.
- Don’t waste food served at the langar.
- When they serve Chapattis make sure to join your hands to receive the chapatti as Sikhs follow this tradition. They don’t serve it in plates just in hand.
- Don’t pollute the Gurudwara. Keep it clean.
